Questions, answered.
How does it work?
You pick your book, customize it, and download a print-ready PDF instantly. Nothing ships — the file is yours to print at home, at a local print shop, or through any online printer.
Is this really print quality?
Yes. Every book is built at 300 DPI on standard letter-size pages, so text stays crisp and colors stay true whether you print one page or the whole book. For the best result, print on a heavier paper stock (such as 32 lb / 120 gsm or cardstock) — it holds ink beautifully and feels like a keepsake, not a printout.
Do I need special software or a fancy printer?
No. If you can open a PDF and print a page, you can make one of these. A home inkjet does a lovely job; a print shop does an even better one if you want a bound copy.
Are the branch insignia official service seals?
No — and that's by design. Every insignia is an original flag-badge design created for these books. They're made to honor each branch without copying or implying any official endorsement.
Can I print it more than once?
Yes. Once you download the file, you can print it as many times as you like — extra copies for grandparents, a spare if the first one gets loved a little too hard, whatever you need.
What if I have more postings later?
That's what Refill Chapters are for — add a new chapter as the next posting comes, so the book grows with your family's story instead of ending before it does.
Can I see it before I buy?
Yes — every product has a sample you can view right on its page, so you can see the layout, the typography, and the print quality before you decide.
This book exists because I needed it.
As the youngest member of my unit during deployment, the letters and care packages I received reminded me of what mattered most. Through every high and every hardship, those memories became the foundation of who we are as a family — and they deserve to be preserved, not lost to time.
After sustaining a combat injury, I faced a new battle: memory loss. Holding onto the details of my service, my family, and our journey became something I never expected to fight for. That experience is what inspired Keepsake Atlas — a keepsake built for families like mine.
Kept, re-read, handed down.
It's the first thing we packed for the last PCS. It'll be the last thing we unpack.
My eight-year-old filled in her Little Recruit at the kitchen table. She hasn't stopped drawing pins.
The Voyage got me through the middle of a nine-monther. Reading it back is the closest thing to time travel.
